The Abbey of Morimondo, is an abbey a few kilometers from Milan, easily accessible for guests of Camping Playa di Valverde. Morimondo is an example of Cistercian architecture already evolved towards the Gothic style, as is evident from the use of cross vaults. In the central nave, they are not square but rectangular, and each of them corresponds to a square span in the side aisles thus increasing the sense of verticality. In addition, the size of Morimondo is due to the presence of eight bays, unlike the former abbatial churches normally smaller. But the majesty of the church of Morimondo is given by the total essentiality, and by the sense of order of exposed bricks.
